One adviser conference you don't want to miss
I’ll be honest, I’m not a big fan of adviser conferences.
As Dan Solin wrote recently, most of them are a charade. For many advisers, they’re a good opportunity to get out the office and be wined and dined; for the sponsors, usually active managers, they’re essentially a sales and marketing exercise.
But there is an exception. It’s called BACK2Y, it’s scheduled for 13th September, and it’s taking place, conveniently for me, in God’s home town of Birmingham. I was one of the speakers a couple of years ago and was hugely impressed.
The organiser is Paul Armson, who runs an organisation called Inspiring Advisers. Paul, like me, is trying to stimulate debate in the UK and further afield about how advisers, planners and wealth managers really add value.
Paul has just filed this blog post, all about this year’s event, which I recommend:
If you’d like to sign up for the event, here’s the conference website:
And if you are coming to Birmingham, and you’d like to meet up with or one of my Regis Media colleagues, please get in touch.
